As a licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Laura Brewer approaches her clinical work with expertise and 15 years of experience in the mental health field. Clients find Dr. Brewer to be easy to relate to and comfortable to work with. She has a strong sense of compassion and genuine care for each of her clients, fully committing herself to improving the quality of the lives of those who enter into therapy with her.
Dr. Brewer provides individual psychotherapy to a wide adult client base, ages 18 and up. Her areas of special interest include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, anger management, sexual orientation issues, women’s issues, trauma, loss, aging and life transition issues. She also has extensive experience working with clients with schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders.
Dr. Brewer tailors treatment to meet the personality and needs of each of her clients. She is skilled at using evidenced-based techniques to help clients lead healthier, happier lives. She believes in focusing on personal strengths to foster growth, and is skilled at helping clients gain insight and a deeper understanding of themselves to create more fulfilled lives.
Dr. Brewer earned her bachelor’s degree from Marquette University, and her master’s and doctorate degrees from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.
